Description

  • Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Advise clients on terminations, resignations, transfers, contracts, and redundancy processes while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Lead client and employee meetings for consultations, administrative hearings, negotiations, and termination outcomes.
  • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex termination situations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions, to support compliant offboarding and audits.
  • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents accurately while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  • Process offboarding activities in the internal HRIS and coordinate with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for internal and external questions related to offboarding and employee relations.
  • Provide first-level employee relations support by guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, monitor ongoing cases, and support progressive discipline documentation and follow-up.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and customer/employee experience enhancements.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR exposure across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience managing voluntary and involuntary exits with legal compliance and sensitivity across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, research solutions, and communicate recommendations in ambiguous environments.
  • Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Business-level advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude and appetite to innovate, optimize processes, and implement automation.
  • Strong attention to record-keeping and data integrity.
  • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously across various tools and adapt to new systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote, international environment with multiple priorities and flexible hours as needed.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable.
  • Location: Canada.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle work in remote or globally distributed teams is preferred.
