Description

Design, build, and enhance migration frameworks, tooling, and automation accelerators for RunMyJobs onboarding.
Develop scalable migration scripts and reusable components to move workflows, jobs, dependencies, and configurations from legacy systems.
Identify migration bottlenecks and implement technical solutions for data transformation and validation.
Partner with Migration Architects to translate migration strategies into executable tooling and frameworks.
Support Professional Services on complex or high-impact migration engagements.
Troubleshoot migration-related production issues and resolve edge cases.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve RMJ migration capabilities based on field learnings.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and implement automated testing.
Contribute to CI/CD improvements for migration tooling.
Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong professional experience with Java, including Java 11/17+.
Experience building backend services, APIs, and automation tooling.
Experience working with XML and JSON, and libraries such as Jackson and Lombok.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Experience with scripting and automation, such as Shell scripting and Gradle.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, AssertJ, and Mockito.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, architects, and delivery teams.
Experience with AI-driven automation use cases.
Experience migrating enterprise systems or schedulers to modern SaaS platforms.
Background in automation, workload scheduling, or ERP environments.
SAP knowledge, including ABAP and HANA, is preferred.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Experience in customer-facing or forward deployed engineering roles.
