Description

  • Design, build, and enhance migration frameworks, tooling, and automation accelerators for RunMyJobs onboarding.
  • Develop scalable migration scripts and reusable components to move workflows, jobs, dependencies, and configurations from legacy systems.
  • Identify migration bottlenecks and implement technical solutions for data transformation and validation.
  • Partner with Migration Architects to translate migration strategies into executable tooling and frameworks.
  • Support Professional Services on complex or high-impact migration engagements.
  • Troubleshoot migration-related production issues and resolve edge cases.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve RMJ migration capabilities based on field learnings.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and implement automated testing.
  • Contribute to CI/CD improvements for migration tooling.
  • Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Java, including Java 11/17+.
  • Experience building backend services, APIs, and automation tooling.
  • Experience working with XML and JSON, and libraries such as Jackson and Lombok.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience with scripting and automation, such as Shell scripting and Gradle.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, AssertJ, and Mockito.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, architects, and delivery teams.
  • Experience with AI-driven automation use cases.
  • Experience migrating enterprise systems or schedulers to modern SaaS platforms.
  • Background in automation, workload scheduling, or ERP environments.
  • SAP knowledge, including ABAP and HANA, is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience in customer-facing or forward deployed engineering roles.
