Description

  • Lead technical direction for development teams with a strong business perspective and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve a reactive microservices architecture in AWS to ensure the scalability of the payments gateway.
  • Guide engineering teams in software design best practices, architectural patterns, and agile methodologies.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into viable technical solutions aligned with time-to-market goals.
  • Ensure system resilience and performance through effective use of Kafka, MySQL, and Redis.
  • Provide technical leadership across both backend and frontend ecosystems.
  • Contribute architectural vision and technical judgment in Scala/Kotlin backend services and React frontend applications.
  • Support the evolution of a regional, mission-critical digital payments platform.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Architect or Tech Lead in highly transactional platforms, ideally in FinTech or payments processing.
  • Strong backend development experience with Scala and/or Kotlin.
  • Complementary frontend experience with React.
  • Hands-on experience designing microservices architectures, event-driven solutions with Kafka, and cloud environments on AWS.
  • Familiarity with Docker and container-based tooling.
  • Experience with Mesosphere or similar orchestration tools.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress and Karate.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide technical teams.
  • Adaptability, pragmatism, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Remote-first availability in Argentina; monthly in-office meetings may apply for candidates in AMBA.
