Description

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems for the core platform.
  • Build and optimize low-latency applications for high-throughput workloads.
  • Lead technical design discussions and define architecture best practices across engineering teams.
  • Work with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and ECS.
  • Own performance tuning, database optimization, caching strategies, and distributed system design.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering leaders, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities.
  • Review code, mentor senior engineers, and drive engineering excellence.
  • Ensure platform components are resilient, observable, maintainable, and production-ready.
  • Make architectural decisions around microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, scalability, and deployment patterns.
  • Identify technical risks and proactively propose solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend or platform engineering exposure.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Deep experience with MySQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, rate limiting, queues, or low-latency data access.
  • Strong cloud experience with AWS, especially production-grade deployments.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS ECS or similar container orchestration platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and building low-latency, high-performance applications.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and system scalability.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, debugging, and production incident resolution.
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership, and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience with Kafka, SQS, SNS, or other messaging or event-streaming systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI, chatbot, automation, or SaaS platforms (preferred).
  • Experience leading architecture for large-scale multi-tenant systems (preferred).
