Description

  • Lead and develop the SMB sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Create and execute sales strategies and territory plans tailored to the SMB market and manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and pursue new SMB business opportunities and build strong relationships with local business communities and key clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Customer Support to align campaigns, streamline quoting/ordering, and ensure timely service activation and delivery.
  • Oversee onboarding of new SMB clients, address escalated customer issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyze sales data, KPIs, and market trends to guide strategy, provide regular performance reports to leadership, and recommend product/bundle/pricing adjustments.
  • Monitor installation timelines, resolve operational blockers, and communicate customer requirements and feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage travel-heavy field work, maintain vehicle/equipment readiness, and be available for after-hours or on-call duties as needed to support operations.
  • Own supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, payroll compliance, conflict resolution, resource allocation, and reporting team performance to upper management.

Requirements

  • Eligible for US employment without sponsorship and at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with successful DMV check and ability to spend significant portion of workday traveling to customer locations.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in SMB sales, account management, or business development (preferably in telecommunications, SaaS, technology, or related industries).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, growing business segments, and managing customer relationships; experience leading or mentoring a sales/account team preferred.
  • Familiarity with fiber-optic services, broadband products, or telecom industry standards and experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and standard business tools (Excel, PowerPoint); proficient use of MS Office, Teams, and teleconferencing applications.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to analyze data, sales pipelines, and market trends to guide strategy.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed and willingness to participate in on-call or emergency work.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus; prior IT management experience (including infrastructure, systems administration, network operations, cybersecurity) is listed as a strong/desired background.
