Description

  • Implement, maintain, and test software and hardware in a heterogeneous control system environment.
  • Define, document, implement, and test procedures for quantum computer operations.
  • Manage science, development, and testing infrastructure, including HIL setups, containerized services, routers, switches, and test systems.
  • Propose and implement automated provisioning, configuration, and orchestration for local and remote compute systems used in control, testing, and simulation.
  • Collaborate with software, physicist, hardware, and test engineering teams to integrate DevOps tools with custom hardware and quantum workflows.
  • Maintain artifact repositories, test result dashboards, and infrastructure for tracking regressions and system health.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for access control, system configuration, and lab operations.
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for CI/CD failures and system anomalies.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting automation by integrating logs and metrics from embedded systems, test benches, and orchestration layers.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software and firmware across the quantum control stack.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in network SQA, systems engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Practical implementation of LAN and WAN technologies on switches and routers, including VLAN configuration, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services.
  • Practical Linux administration experience with Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat, plus Windows administration experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Git, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
  • Hands-on experience with rack-mount servers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience supporting hybrid systems involving embedded devices, custom hardware, or real-time control systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of secure software deployment and product life cycles (preferred).
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop pipelines or distributed lab/test automation environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to scientific computing, HPC, or quantum software stacks (preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, interdisciplinary R&D teams (preferred).
