Description

  • Own execution of a portfolio of strategic partnerships, including both newly established and existing relationships, with clear objectives, deliverables, timelines, and internal alignment.
  • Drive partnerships through the full lifecycle from launch to delivery to expansion, with accountability for execution and outcomes.
  • Identify, structure, and execute ecosystem partnerships across sample preparation, reagents and consumables, software and bioinformatics, automation, services, and workflow integrations.
  • Lead partner kickoffs, governance cadence, milestone tracking, and issue resolution to ensure partnerships produce tangible outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship owner with strategic partners and maintain momentum on both sides.
  • Establish joint operating structures and cadences such as working teams, steering committee updates, and QBRs, and ensure decisions and actions are closed.
  • Drive execution across Commercial, Product, R&D, Operations, Legal, Finance, Market Development, and Scientific Affairs to deliver partner commitments.
  • Align partnership scope, success metrics, and operating models while working closely with Legal to finalize agreements.
  • Build business cases and recommendations for new partnerships based on strategic fit, feasibility, and expected impact.
  • Convert partnership obligations into actionable internal plans, ownership, resourcing needs, and decision points.
  • Create and maintain execution tools such as dashboards, milestone plans, risk logs, and escalation paths to keep workstreams moving.
  • Define and track partnership KPIs tied to commercial pull-through and product acceleration.
  • Drive expansion and renewal discussions for performing partnerships and recommend pivots when needed.
  • Build repeatable partnership playbooks and templates to improve speed and consistency over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, alliance management, or cross-functional commercial/product programs in life sciences or adjacent industries.
  • Proven ability to execute partnerships post-signature, including governance, milestone delivery, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience in life sciences tools and platforms such as proteomics, genomics, multi-omics, mass spectrometry ecosystems, or adjacent workflows.
  • Ability to engage credibly with both scientific and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong internal leadership and external relationship management skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous environments with a bias toward execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with life sciences tools and product ecosystems and RUO partnering models is strongly preferred.
  • Experience building ecosystem partnerships such as integrations, workflow partnerships, or partner programs is preferred.
  • Comfort translating product strategy into partner-driven execution plans and scaling processes as partnership volume grows over time.

Benefits

  • Estimated base salary range of $210,000 to $250,000 in the United States.
