Description

  • Own onboarding and offboarding operations, including pre- and post-onboarding tasks, new hire trainings, background checks, I-9 verification, and offboarding documentation.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes and maintain accurate employee records for onboarding, promotions, job changes, professional development budgets, and offboarding.
  • Track employee certifications within the HRIS system.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HRIS systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle employment and income verifications accurately and on time while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Own employee-facing operations content such as labor law postings, People Operations guides, job aids, and handbook updates.
  • Partner with Payroll and Compensation teams to support bonuses, separation pay, patent awards, and annual merit processing.
  • Provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration, including inquiries, billing, reconciliations, deduction imports, and troubleshooting.
  • Own the service anniversary award platform and coordinate retirement and anniversary awards.
  • Produce ad hoc and regulatory compliance reports, including EEOC reporting and California Pay Data requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a People Operations and/or HRIS role.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, including data management, reporting, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, HR compliance requirements, and recordkeeping standards.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex data sets and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain policies and procedures clearly.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify process improvements and support scalable workflows.
  • Paylocity experience is preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools and automation to improve processes and employee experience is a plus.
