Description

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding operations, including new hire tasks, background checks, I-9 verification, training launches, and offboarding documentation.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes and maintain accurate employee records, including promotions, job changes, professional development budgets, and certifications in the HRIS.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about HRIS systems, policies, and procedures, and handle employment and income verifications accurately and on time.
  • Maintain employee-facing operations content, including labor law postings, People Operations guides, job aids, and handbook updates.
  • Partner with Payroll and Compensation teams to ensure accurate processing of bonuses, separation pay, patent awards, and merit cycle support.
  • Provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration, including inquiries, billing, reconciliations, deduction imports, and troubleshooting.
  • Own the employee recognition platform for service anniversaries and retirement awards.
  • Prepare ad hoc and regulatory compliance reports, including EEOC and California Pay Data reporting, and respond to recurring data requests.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to improve onboarding, offboarding, and other operational workflows.
  • Support process improvements that make People Operations more scalable and efficient.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in People Operations and/or an HRIS role.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, including data management, reporting, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, HR compliance requirements, and recordkeeping standards.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex data sets and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain policies and procedures clearly.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support reporting needs.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools and automation to improve processes and employee experience preferred.
