Description

  • Own the month-end and quarter-end close process across US, EMEA, Mexico, and Australian entities.
  • Oversee revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements, including SaaS subscriptions, hardware sales, advertising revenue share, and managed services.
  • Manage consolidation across multiple entities and maintain audit readiness year-round.
  • Lead the annual audit relationship and coordinate statutory, compilation, and related compliance requirements.
  • Manage multi-state sales tax, income tax, registration, subcontractor, and music licensing compliance.
  • Drive the finance systems roadmap and evaluate tools for consolidation, reporting, automation, expenses, and banking controls.
  • Build and maintain an internal control framework appropriate for a Series B company and progressing toward SOC 2 readiness.
  • Own procurement workflows, vendor onboarding, and spend approval processes.
  • Lead and develop a distributed finance team across the US and offshore locations.
  • Partner with the CFO on board reporting, investor materials, capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
  • Deep experience with US multi-state tax compliance, including sales tax, income tax, and registrations.
  • Hands-on experience with revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements under ASC 606.
  • Track record of building or significantly improving month-end close processes.
  • Experience managing distributed teams across onshore and offshore locations.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Technology-fluent and comfortable using SaaS products, AI tools, and automation to improve workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial models, pivot tables, lookups, and dynamic reporting.
  • Experience at a SaaS + hardware company with mixed revenue models, inventory, or logistics is preferred.
  • Big 4 or consulting background is preferred.
  • International operations experience, especially in Australia or APAC, is preferred.
  • Experience with Xero, Salesforce, Avalara, Ramp, or Aleph is preferred.
  • Exposure to equity administration and investor reporting is preferred.
  • Experience preparing for or supporting a Series C or D fundraise is preferred.
