Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of German public sector customer needs and decision-making drivers.
  • Translate technology solutions into measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and SI partners to shape customer strategy and support revenue growth.
  • Lead technical responsibilities across sales strategy, evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Capture customer requirements and translate business needs into solution designs.
  • Write and contribute to responses for German public sector RFPs.
  • Support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation opportunities.
  • Liaise with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Track competitors and market trends to maintain differentiated solution positioning.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience with German public sector customers is required.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications is required.
  • Strong file skills around NFS and SMB protocols are required.
  • Certifications such as ONTAP NFS Administration or NetApp NCDA are required.
  • Experience selling enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to German public sector or enterprise accounts is required.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
  • Modern web architecture familiarity is a plus, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
  • Prior experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Superior knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, and Object/S3.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-prem, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices is a plus.
  • Experience with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills in German, level C2, are required.
