Description

  • Own the portfolio controls schema and reference architectures for BMS, electrical SCADA, and DCIM across greenfield and brownfield sites.
  • Define and govern master points lists, tagging standards, naming conventions, alarm philosophy, trending, and data-retention requirements.
  • Establish fleet-wide data normalization so telemetry is consistent, machine-readable, and analytics-ready.
  • Set sequences of operation, interlocks, setpoint strategies, and critical alarm pathways for mechanical and electrical plant.
  • Define the customer data-exposure model and data demarcation in coordination with single-tenant customers and the Principal Network Engineer.
  • Specify northbound interfaces, secure access boundaries, and acceptance criteria for customer-facing data feeds.
  • Own the equipment-points relationship with OEMs, packaged-equipment vendors, and external controls development partners.
  • Drive factory witness testing, points verification, and site acceptance for delivered controllers and integrated systems.
  • Establish the data foundation and guardrails needed for AI-driven optimization, condition-based maintenance, and closed-loop control.
  • Lead controls acceptance criteria, integrated systems testing, commissioning, issue resolution, and handover documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field, and a Master’s degree in one of those fields or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering BMS, electrical SCADA, and/or DCIM for hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience in high-density AI/inference environments.
  • Deep command of controls data modeling and semantic tagging such as Brick or Project Haystack, or equivalent.
  • Experience with northbound integration protocols including BACnet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug, and REST.
  • Proven experience defining data-exposure and demarcation models for external consumers in secure OT environments.
  • Track record integrating third-party/OEM equipment controllers and performing factory/site points verification.
  • Hands-on experience enabling or operating AI/ML optimization platforms such as Phaidra or comparable analytics.
  • Strong command of sequences of operation, alarm management, commissioning/IST, and multi-vendor integration.
  • Proven collaboration with network and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure OT architectures.

  • Competitive total compensation with a reasonable range of $160,000–$220,000 per year.
