Description

  • Take the operator’s seat and perform the customer’s job before automating it.
  • Work embedded inside client teams and operating processes rather than as an external vendor.
  • Rebuild business functions from first principles alongside operators and Forward Deployed Executives.
  • Ship production AI systems based on Provectus industry blueprints and improve them with field learnings.
  • Own the method and drive engagements autonomously in underspecified situations.
  • Build and iterate on AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate non-deterministic systems using an eval suite and clearly define what is measured.
  • Collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders on redesign and scoping decisions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building software, with substantial production code ownership.
  • Willingness to spend weeks doing an operator’s work before writing code.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar business domains quickly.
  • Experience shipping GenAI or LLM systems to production.
  • Experience building or owning an eval suite for a non-deterministic system.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS, including containers, Kubernetes/ECS, IaC, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with senior stakeholders, including BU heads and CTOs.
  • Solid AI/ML foundations and understanding of model failure modes.
  • Hands-on production experience with Claude Code/Cowork.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Prior experience as a founder, CTO, or engineering leader returning to individual contribution (preferred).
  • Depth in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or asset management (preferred).
  • Consulting, professional services, or embedded customer-facing delivery experience (preferred).
  • Data platform experience with data lakes, warehouses, streaming, real-time analytics, data mesh, governance, and data quality (preferred).
  • Experience with MLOps and classical ML tools such as PyTorch, SageMaker, or MLflow (preferred).
  • Experience with fine-tuning, distillation, or inference/serving optimization (preferred).
  • Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune (preferred).
  • Deep IaC experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform (preferred).
  • Open-source contributions or public writing on applied AI (preferred).
