Description

  • Take ownership of the production codebase and continue building the product from its early production stage.
  • Set the technical direction and lead execution end-to-end as a co-founder.
  • Harden the voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability, observability, and auditability.
  • Build internal infrastructure to configure, monitor, and optimize agent performance without adding engineering headcount.
  • Own the accounting and ERP integration layer, including QuickBooks and Xero, to embed the product into finance workflows.
  • Manage the trade-offs between AI quality and cost-per-call and define sustainable unit economics.
  • Represent the company to finance leaders, partners, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and expand the product into adjacent AI finance-ops use cases.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and help establish the company culture.

Requirements

  • Shipped LLM-powered and voice systems into production where incorrect outputs had real consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong convictions about reliability engineering, edge-case management, and AI quality versus cost-per-call trade-offs.
  • Experience building managed or service-heavy platforms and scaling delivery without scaling engineering headcount.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal and push back when the product is not ready or will not scale.
  • Hands-on builder who still writes code and ships product.
  • Finance, accounting, or FinOps background with understanding of AR, DSO, aging, and disputes (preferred).
  • Based in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, or willing to relocate there (preferred).
  • Pragmatic, creative, cooperative, and strategic, with a bias toward getting to a working solution quickly (preferred).
  • Willing and able to help secure early customer partnerships and support founder-led distribution (preferred).
