Description

  • Refine Azure Landing Zone and cloud foundation architectures in partnership with networking, security, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Design and improve reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and CI/CD templates for cloud enablement.
  • Support and enhance Azure and O365 service design, implementation, and automation with a strong security focus.
  • Define and operationalize SRE practices, including SLOs/SLIs, observability, self-healing, and incident response.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and resolve critical cloud incidents.
  • Optimize AKS and related cloud services for provisioning, scaling, observability, and security.
  • Lead resilience efforts such as chaos engineering, post-mortems, disaster recovery planning, and multi-site operations.
  • Promote DevOps standards through code reviews, troubleshooting sessions, Agile ceremonies, and knowledge sharing.
  • Build and refine automation and scripting for operational support and cloud maturity.
  • Explore and support identity, compliance, and emerging cloud technologies such as Entra ID, Azure Arc, and Confidential Computing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including 5+ years in Azure architecture or SRE.
  • Hands-on experience in production-scale, high-availability environments with root-cause analysis responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, AKS, VMs, Container Instances, Blob Storage, VNet, Entra ID, and Azure Policy/Blueprints.
  • Experience designing and managing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services such as Load Balancers, App Gateways, DNS, Front Door, Storage, Monitor, Security Center, and Log Analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience with automation and CI/CD using Bicep, ARM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
  • Strong understanding of SRE concepts including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, observability, and automation tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Logic Apps, or Functions.
  • Security and identity experience with Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault, Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure AD DS/Connect/B2C, and MFA.
  • 2+ years of experience with O365 and Azure AD B2C.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containers; 3+ years with Azure services such as Functions, API Management, Blobs, VMs, SQL, or Event Grid.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-400, CKAD, or CKA.
  • Preferred experience with Azure Arc, AI/ML on AKS, Cosmos DB, GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD, Ansible, and regulated environments such as HIPAA, GDPR, or SOX.
