Description

  • Provide external wholesaling support to a select group of distributors with primary focus on wire house and Independent Broker Dealer markets.
  • Achieve aggressive premium growth targets for the assigned territory and meet sales goals.
  • Manage all aspects of carrier and distributor relationships, including sales, marketing, and pending case advocacy.
  • Develop, implement, and execute territory sales plans and strategies to grow business and point-of-sale results.
  • Own and manage specific accounts across the designated multi-state territory (TX, OK, MT, WY, CO, NM, ID, UT, AZ, WA, OR, NV, CA, AK, HI).
  • Conduct substantial overnight travel (minimum 50%) and maintain significant virtual engagement with distributors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support case design, sales concepts, and marketing efforts.
  • Report to the National Sales Director and provide regular updates on territory performance and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of internal or external life insurance wholesaling experience at the carrier level, preferably within a broker-dealer or wire house environment; successful point-of-sale experience highly desirable.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and state life and health licenses required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive understanding of life insurance products, sales concepts, and case design.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and superior sales and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Technical literacy with illustration software, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Ability to travel overnight at least 50% and significant virtual engagement capability; candidate must live in the territory.
  • Preferred credentials: CLU, ChFC, or CFP professional designations.
