Description

  • Lead and coach one or more platform teams, supporting professional growth and high performance.
  • Drive the strategic direction of cloud infrastructure and platform services, including Kubernetes (GKE) clusters.
  • Own availability practices and embed SRE principles, including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, observability, and incident remediation.
  • Own the developer-facing platform, including golden paths, self-service infrastructure, and internal tooling.
  • Treat the platform as a product with a roadmap and adoption metrics to improve safe, independent service delivery.
  • Ensure cloud environments remain secure and compliant with SOC2 and ISO-27001 standards.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, data, design, and research in cross-functional teams.
  • Make technical decisions that improve scalability, resilience, maintainability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading infrastructure and SRE teams, with a track record of scaling platforms and people.
  • Several years of deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Crossplane, and GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD.
  • Strong understanding of complex infrastructure and application architecture, observability, and incident management.
  • Experience balancing platform stability and reliability with developer productivity and velocity.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Background as a senior individual contributor with deep technical credibility in infrastructure and business problem-solving.
  • Experience with AWS, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Django Rest Framework, container-based services, serverless architectures, MongoDB, Postgres, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Celery, EventBridge, and DataDog.
  • Experience working in environments with SOC2 and ISO-27001 compliance requirements (preferred).
