Description

Support overall monthly project accounting efforts by capturing project manager meeting notes and updating financial trackers.
Set up new projects in time and expense systems and files, including signature verification, Salesforce reconciliation, and discrepancy escalation.
Update project files for change orders, budget adjustments, carve-outs, and project milestone tracking.
Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions and maintain shared financial trackers.
Prepare and investigate client project hours and expenses, including review of billing roles and rates.
Prepare client invoices based on contracts and follow up on past due invoices, including maintaining invoice waterfalls when needed.
Assist with monthly client accrual preparation.
Track project costs against contracted amounts and monitor direct costs across projects and clients.
Support employee and subcontractor setup and monthly tracking of hours, bill rates, expenses, forecast, and budget.
Prepare basic monthly general ledger account reconciliations, assist with ad hoc projects and annual budget preparation, and pull supporting documents for the annual audit.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
0-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Agency or professional services experience is preferred.
Month-end close experience is preferred.
Revenue recognition experience is preferred.
Project accounting experience is preferred.
Client services or client-facing experience is preferred.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and handle large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information with strong attention to detail.
