Description

  • Support monthly project accounting efforts by capturing meeting notes, updating project trackers, and maintaining financial records.
  • Set up new projects in time and expense systems, verify signatures, reconcile Salesforce information, and escalate discrepancies.
  • Maintain project files for change orders, budget adjustments, carve-outs, and project milestone updates.
  • Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions and update shared financial trackers.
  • Prepare and investigate client project hours and expenses, including review of billing roles and rates.
  • Prepare client invoices based on contracts and follow up on past-due invoices, including maintaining contract waterfall billing schedules when needed.
  • Assist with monthly client accrual preparation and basic general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Track project costs against contracted amounts and monitor direct costs shared across projects and clients.
  • Track new employee and subcontractor hours, bill rates, expenses, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Support annual budget preparation, audit support requests, and other ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Agency or professional services experience preferred.
  • Month-end close experience preferred.
  • Revenue recognition experience preferred.
  • Project accounting experience preferred.
  • Client services or client-facing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and maintain a high level of attention to detail and accountability.
