Description

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities across the bioservices portfolio, with emphasis on biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships to support account growth and retention.
  • Build working relationships with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Production teams.
  • Qualify leads and evaluate opportunity potential.
  • Write proposals in consultation with internal subject matter experts as needed.
  • Develop project budgets and pricing while using internal resources to ensure accuracy.
  • Close new business and expand existing business relationships.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and meetings as required.
  • Maintain contacts and opportunities in SalesForce.com.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related sales experience, or Master’s degree and 2 years of related sales experience, or PhD and 0-1 years of related sales experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO organizations with success in client relationship management and business development.
  • Demonstrated success selling biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab services.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and create plans to achieve personal goals.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while acting tactically in a dynamic environment.
  • Track record of progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35%, including domestic and international travel with overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license for the states in which you drive.
  • Preferred: academic concentration in life sciences or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
  • Preferred: 10 years of related sales experience.

  • Base salary compensation range of $162,000 to $243,000 USD, with potential for incentives.
