Description

  • Manage employee data across the people systems, including onboarding, role changes, promotions, and terminations, with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding experiences in partnership with IT and Finance.
  • Support performance reviews, engagement surveys, and company-wide people programs through coordination, communications, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with the benefits provider and help employees make the most of the benefits program.
  • Plan and execute in-person company gatherings, virtual events, and team events.
  • Manage office support and coordination for the downtown Toronto office used by employees on Thursdays and other occasions.
  • Coordinate annual employee gifting and execute the vision for year-end recognition.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries.
  • Help deliver and improve people programs such as learning and development, team culture initiatives, and engagement efforts.
  • Own metrics and reporting for all assigned people operations areas and support time-sensitive projects from the VP, People & Culture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR, People Operations, or People & Culture role, ideally in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of core HR practices across the employee lifecycle, people operations, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting people programs such as onboarding, performance management, engagement, and policy administration.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across teams and levels.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience using AI tools and workflow automations to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and support better decision-making is preferred.
  • Must be located in Toronto and willing to work in-office 1–2 days per week.
