Description

  • Design user-centered product content that makes complex language and workflows easy to understand.
  • Develop content architecture that supports reuse and publishing across multiple platforms, personas, and markets.
  • Research user needs and translate user stories into content design approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Engineers, Product Leaders, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Draft and refine content strategies, mock-ups, and content prototypes for new and existing platforms.
  • Apply writing style standards and content design best practices aligned with company design standards.
  • Use basic data analysis, research, and observation to inform content decisions and summarize findings.
  • Leverage AI as a design partner for ideation, prototyping, and content exploration.
  • Collaborate on AI-generated outputs to ensure content is compliant, user-centered, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Design basic conversational flows for simple, accessible user interactions.

Requirements

  • 6-month contract role based in the USA with remote work and occasional travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office for onboarding and team events.
  • Portfolio required showing UI content, instructional documentation, microcopy, and ideally AI-assisted or conversational design work.
  • Background in content design within a product-focused environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or training in English, UX writing, technical communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience writing and structuring language for audience needs, including technical communications, instructional writing, and UX writing.
  • Foundational understanding of user-centered design techniques and how to apply them.
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools and workflows for ideation, prototyping, or content exploration.
  • Exposure to conversational design and ability to create simple, accessible conversational flows.
  • Experience working with authoring and publishing content management systems (CCMS).
  • Experience working in agile development with cross-functional teams, including UX Designers, Product Management, and Engineers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of Paligo, Pendo, Jira, Figma, Power BI, and Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Domain and industry knowledge is a plus, and prior PointClickCare or EHR software experience is an asset.
