Description

  • Work on complex Android features ranging from custom views and APIs to 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI, and CRDT-related functionality.
  • Develop and maintain a modular Android codebase.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and follow best practices and coding guidelines.
  • Use popular Android libraries and Kotlin-based solutions.
  • Contribute to all stages of product development, including design, analytics, payments, and user authentication.
  • Write tests, refactor existing code, improve implementations, and fix bugs.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and managers across the team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Android development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Android frameworks, libraries, services, and the Android ecosystem, including Android SDK, Dagger, Jetpack, and Apache Commons.
  • Solid understanding of best practices such as SOLID, STUPID, design patterns, and testable, well-documented code.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  • Experience with databases such as SQL, SQLite, and Room.
  • Experience with concurrent and parallel development, including Kotlin coroutines and RxJava.
  • Familiarity with supporting technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, HTML, Git, and Protobuf.
  • Experience with 2D and/or 3D graphics technologies such as Canvas, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Google Filament is a plus.
  • Experience with in-app payments and subscriptions is a plus.
  • Fluent English skills are a plus.
