Description

  • Build machine learning technology using deep learning and other advanced ML methods.
  • Experiment with and improve models for Homefeed, Related Product, Search, content recommendations, and ads delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams across Pinterest on machine learning experiments and product launches.
  • Analyze Pinterest’s data and user behavior signals to improve recommendations and enforcement-related systems.
  • Develop and maintain training-data pipelines using Hadoop and Spark.
  • Apply NLP, computer vision, LLMs, and CLIP models to enhance content understanding.
  • Design and improve advertising algorithms using Python, Java, and Go.
  • Develop applications that align visual and language information using large language models.
  • Monitor industry trends in recommendation systems and related technologies.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, such as Biophysics or Quantitative Biology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing and maintaining training-data pipelines with Hadoop and Spark.
  • At least 2 years of experience with machine learning methods, including user modeling and recommender systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience applying NLP and computer vision-based recommendation algorithms to user behavior signals and enforcement actions.
  • At least 1 year of experience using LLM and CLIP models with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing advertising algorithms with Python, Java, and Go.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing multi-module LLM applications that align visual and language information.
