Description

  • Educate prospects and customers on TiDB’s capabilities and business value.
  • Guide customers through the design, deployment, and optimization of TiDB implementations.
  • Lead and execute Proof of Concept engagements in real-world customer scenarios.
  • Develop tailored architectural solutions, best practices, and industry-specific use cases.
  • Engage AI-native companies and enterprises building agent-powered applications.
  • Provide technical input on RFPs and customer technical requirements.
  • Create technical champions within customer accounts to support deal progression.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops to technical and executive audiences.
  • Build and deliver AI-focused demos for LLM-powered applications and multi-agent systems.
  • Produce technical content such as whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, and reference architectures.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and positioning.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, knowledge-sharing, and the open-source community.
  • Travel within the region approximately 20-40% as needed for customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer.
  • Experience focused on distributed systems, databases, or cloud computing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of clustering technologies, terminology, and architectures.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or comparable technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Golang, or Shell scripting.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with AI tooling ecosystems such as Claude Code and Codex.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-success mindset.

  • Annual base salary range of USD $106K to $182K for U.S. candidates.
