Description

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned verticals or territories through cold calling, networking, and social selling.
  • Sell solutions by diagnosing client challenges and tailoring proposals to customer needs.
  • Build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, including IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and C-suite executives.
  • Lead proposal development and negotiate contracts to secure mutual value for the customer and TiDB.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide pipeline and forecast updates to senior management.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly and annual revenue quotas, including large enterprise deals.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline that exceeds assigned quota targets.
  • Follow a disciplined sales process and manage time effectively across prospecting, follow-ups, and related sales activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to improve lead quality and with product teams to surface enterprise feedback.
  • Share best practices, mentor junior team members, and contribute to go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with consultative or solution-based selling in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of product offerings and the competitive landscape.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt to different stakeholder mindsets.
  • Resilience and tenacity to handle rejection and long, complex sales cycles.
  • Comfort using AI tools and becoming efficient with internal AI tools, Claude, ChatGPT, Google Notebook, Gemini, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Ability to work in a quota-carrying sales role focused on net new logo acquisition.
  • Experience managing large deals with six-figure or multi-million-dollar value (preferred).
