Description

  • Lead FP&A, accounting, cash management, and a lean finance team.
  • Own annual budgeting, scenario modeling, and rolling forecasts for revenue, headcount, operating expenses, and cash.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly plan-to-actual reporting and partner with operating leaders to explain business performance.
  • Advise the CEO, executive team, and board on financial strategy, investment trade-offs, and long-range financial trajectory.
  • Prepare board materials and investor reporting, manage routine investor requests, and prepare for future funding events.
  • Partner with Product on pricing, packaging, unit economics, and revenue and margin modeling for each SKU.
  • Establish revenue-recognition policies and metric definitions for subscription and usage-based revenue.
  • Oversee deal economics, sales compensation design, billing, collections, and contract review for enterprise agreements.
  • Ensure timely GAAP-compliant closes, strong internal controls, audit readiness, tax compliance, and management of external auditors and advisors.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, treasury operations, working capital, burn, and runway.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience; currently an SVP of Finance or a VP of Finance ready to step up.
  • Experience leading the full finance function, with deep FP&A expertise and hands-on ownership of planning.
  • Experience at a productized enterprise B2B software company with $50M–$100M ARR, a subscription or platform model, and large enterprise deals.
  • Experience operating a business from cash-flow neutral toward growing cash flow.
  • Track record of building and assessing finance teams across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and AP/AR.
  • Fluency in SaaS metrics and their relationship to financial performance.
  • Hands-on experience with monthly close, GAAP reporting, internal controls, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Experience managing external auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships.
  • Ability to operate as a player-coach, communicate financial implications clearly, and partner effectively with executive and growth teams.
  • Experience in revtech or CRM, hybrid subscription-and-usage models, AI and cloud cost structures, strategic exits, capital raises, or debt facilities is preferred.
