Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and period-end close activities.
  • Manage the general ledger, journals, reconciliations, invoicing, supplier bills, payment schedules, and approval controls.
  • Monitor financial performance, debtor ageing, working capital, supplier obligations, and budget variances.
  • Develop rolling cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Lead the migration from MYOB EXO to MYOB AccountRight Plus, including data cleansing, testing, reconciliation, controls, and staff training.
  • Support GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation, payroll reconciliations, and year-end coordination with external advisors.
  • Improve finance workflows, reporting, internal controls, policies, automation, and record keeping.
  • Analyse profitability, margins, pricing, freight, landed costs, inventory, and supplier expenses to inform business decisions.
  • Build scalable finance processes and reporting for multi-entity, multi-country, and multi-currency growth.
  • Help recruit, develop, and manage the finance team as the business expands.

Requirements

  • Based in the Philippines and available to collaborate during Australian business hours, approximately 9 AM–5 PM Monday to Friday.
  • Experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Management Accountant, or similar role for Australian companies.
  • Experience working remotely for an Australian business.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting practices, including GST and BAS processes.
  • Strong MYOB experience, including MYOB EXO and/or MYOB AccountRight Plus.
  • Experience managing month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience improving finance processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA, CA, team leadership, and multi-entity or international business experience are advantageous.
