Description

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing hospitals, labs, physicians, lab staff, lab supervisors, and purchasing personnel.
  • Prospect, develop, and convert prospective customers into Penumbra customers.
  • Secure new orders and renew existing business by coordinating product availability, delivery dates, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain regular communication with current and prospective customers regarding programs, promotions, and pricing trends.
  • Increase account penetration across new and existing product and service lines.
  • Work with the Vice President of Sales and Regional Sales Manager to support customer service, product use, and territory performance.
  • Travel as needed to support the position and product line.
  • Attend industry trade shows, follow up on leads, and submit post-show summaries and order activity to sales and marketing management.
  • Maintain accurate sales expense records, customer files, and field sales reports.
  • Adhere to company quality, security, privacy, and compliance requirements and help ensure department adherence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of medical sales experience.
  • At least 3+ years of medical device sales experience.
  • Sales or marketing background is desired.
  • Strong clinical, technical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, demanding, and competitive environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must reside within the region while in the role; candidates outside the Nashville, TN area may be considered.
  • Business travel up to 50% is required.
  • Occasional on-call availability required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

  • Annual base salary range of $175,000 to $215,000.
