Description

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, labs, physicians, lab staff, lab supervisors, and purchasing personnel within the territory.
  • Prospect for new customers and convert prospects into Penumbra peripheral embolization customers.
  • Secure new and renewal orders by coordinating product availability, delivery dates, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain regular communication with current and prospective customers regarding programs, promotions, and pricing trends.
  • Increase account penetration across new and existing peripheral embolization product lines and services.
  • Partner daily with the Regional Sales Manager to support customer service and product utilization.
  • Travel multiple days and nights per week to support the territory and product line.
  • Attend assigned industry trade shows, manage follow-up, capture leads, and report back to sales and marketing.
  • Maintain accurate sales expense records, customer files, and field sales reports.
  • Adhere to quality management, security, privacy, and compliance requirements, and help ensure team compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of medical sales experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical device sales.
  • Must reside within the North Denver, Northern Colorado, and Northern Wyoming region while in the role.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • On-call availability for embolization procedures required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • Strong clinical, technical, and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a busy, demanding, and competitive environment.
  • Sales or marketing background preferred.
  • Experience managing a large number of accounts and working across territories with multiple Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists preferred.
