Description

Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of photovoltaic systems, including wiring, combiner boxes, disconnects, and balance-of-system equipment.
Perform electrical testing such as lockout/tagout, insulation resistance testing, and infrared thermography.
Diagnose string-level and system-level solar faults and support resolution of site issues.
Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on solar power plant equipment.
Perform repairs and general service work on DC and AC components across solar installations.
Document work accurately through work orders, service reports, and time logs.
Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment in a safe, clean, and functional condition.
Follow OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements and lead by example on site.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members when needed.

Requirements

Active Journeyman Electrician License is required.
3+ years of utility-scale solar experience on solar farms or ground-mount systems.
Experience working on megawatt-scale photovoltaic systems; residential rooftop solar experience is not applicable.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with solar operations and maintenance work.
Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
Experience using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and other testing equipment.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Must be able to travel 100% of the time to solar farm sites.
Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Hourly pay of $28.00-$42.00+ DOE.
