Description

  • Walk through CookUnity facilities to ensure sustainable procedures are being followed.
  • Classify, weigh, and dispose of food waste across donations, compost, garbage, and family meals.
  • Condition and prepare food waste for donations or internal reuse.
  • Complete daily facility audits to detect contamination in kitchens, green stations, fulfilment areas, and market areas.
  • Maintain monthly sustainability audit documentation and participate in review meetings with the sustainability team.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve sustainability audit scores.
  • Coordinate donation pickups with the nonprofit organization partner.
  • Dispose of compostable materials correctly and ensure proper waste diversion in all kitchens.
  • Provide day-to-day feedback and support to encourage sustainable behavior among staff.
  • Coordinate with the cleaning team to keep green stations clean and organized.
  • Work with operations teams to support the success of sustainability programs.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
