Description

  • Configure and manage enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls across production and hybrid environments.
  • Implement and maintain VLANs, VPNs, QoS policies, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, device patching, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Monitor network performance and availability and investigate connectivity, latency, routing, and packet loss issues.
  • Use packet analysis tools to diagnose network problems and provide root cause analysis for escalated incidents.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and critical incident response.
  • Implement firewall policies, ACLs, VPN security, intrusion prevention, and Zero Trust segmentation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security and regulatory frameworks and maintain patching schedules.
  • Conduct bandwidth analysis, capacity planning, and reliability improvements to support growth and uptime.
  • Maintain network diagrams, topology maps, runbooks, change records, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and systems teams on hybrid cloud initiatives, migrations, office expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent enterprise networking experience.
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, switching, VLANs, and enterprise network architecture.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, Wireshark, and TCPdump.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking and security concepts.
  • Preferred certifications include CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
  • Experience with AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, GCP networking, or other hybrid cloud networking environments.
  • Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Remote role with working hours aligned to U.S. client business hours and flexibility for on-call support and critical incidents.
  • Location preferred in LATAM, Pakistan, South Africa, or Eastern Europe.
