Description

  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls across production environments.
  • Implement and maintain VLANs, VPNs, QoS policies, and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, device patching, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Configure network segmentation, redundancy, load balancing, failover, and high-availability solutions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Monitor network performance and availability using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, and Zabbix.
  • Investigate and resolve connectivity, latency, routing, packet loss, and other network incidents.
  • Use packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and TCPdump to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Respond to escalated incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and provide root cause analysis documentation.
  • Implement firewall policies, ACLs, VPN security, intrusion prevention, and Zero Trust segmentation strategies.
  • Maintain network diagrams, topology maps, runbooks, change records, and other operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, systems, and IT teams on hybrid cloud networking initiatives, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent enterprise networking experience.
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, switching, VLANs, and enterprise network architecture.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking and security concepts.
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, or similar network devices (preferred).
  • CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, or Fortinet certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, or hybrid cloud networking (preferred).
  • Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform (preferred).
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to Zero Trust architectures and advanced network security implementations (preferred).
  • Ability to work U.S. client business hours with flexibility for on-call support and critical incident response.
  • Remote work location preferred in LATAM, Pakistan, South Africa, or Eastern Europe.
