Description

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of classified loans, including a direct portfolio of classified credits.
  • Work with the Special Assets Group leader and others to identify exit and recovery strategies.
  • Take timely action to minimize client losses and keep them within budgeted standards.
  • Assist with restructuring and liquidation of distressed loans.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reporting on asset quality, impairment, and charge-offs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business units to support smooth asset transitions.
  • Monitor collateral values and ensure compliance with loan covenants and regulatory requirements.
  • Support workout action plans, including restructurings, forbearance agreements, legal actions, collateral review, and recommended alternatives.
  • Ensure advances and loans comply with loan policy, approved structure, and required legal documentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clients’ financial condition, management performance, and industry trends to guide portfolio actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial banking or credit risk, with emphasis on special assets management.
  • Experience in collections, loan restructuring, and workouts is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
  • Project management workout experience.
  • Alternative energy workout experience, including solar, battery, and RNG.
  • SBA and USDA workout experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and apply financial acumen.
