Description

  • Develop and implement retention-focused lifecycle strategies and campaigns that increase repeat purchase rate, reduce churn, and grow customer lifetime value.
  • Identify lifecycle gaps and customer drop-off points, build customer journey maps, and use behavioral data to inform retention strategy.
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of post-purchase, replenishment, cross-sell, upsell, win-back, subscription reactivation, and customer education flows.
  • Support acquisition-adjacent touchpoints such as opt-ins, welcome flows, and abandoned cart programs to improve long-term customer value.
  • Develop post-purchase education strategies that help customers use products successfully and stay engaged with the brand.
  • Design, build, and optimize email templates and lifecycle campaigns with strong brand consistency and deliverability.
  • Implement advanced segmentation, personalization, and dynamic content strategies to improve engagement and retention.
  • Design and execute A/B tests across lifecycle programs and apply optimization changes based on performance data and customer behavior.
  • Own the retention dashboard, analyze key performance metrics, and surface insights and recommendations to improve results.
  • Monitor deliverability, inbox placement, and subscriber health to protect channel performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Product, E-commerce, Subscription, and Creative teams to improve the customer journey.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in email marketing, with significant lifecycle and retention marketing experience.
  • Experience supporting DTC ecommerce brands in the CPG, health, supplement, or wellness space.
  • Educational marketing experience.
  • Proven experience developing lifecycle strategies and campaigns that improve repeat purchase rate, reduce churn, and grow customer lifetime value.
  • Strong hands-on experience with retention-focused lifecycle programs, including post-purchase, replenishment, cross-sell, upsell, win-back, subscription reactivation, and customer education flows.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Klaviyo, including advanced segmentation, automation, personalization, and deliverability best practices.
  • Strong experience with Figma for designing, building, and optimizing email templates and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of email UX, mobile responsiveness, inbox rendering, and QA best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting lifecycle and email metrics, using customer behavior data, and designing/analyzing A/B tests.
  • Experience monitoring and optimizing deliverability, inbox placement, and subscriber health.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining performance insights, technical considerations, and strategic recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Preferred: Experience or strong personal interest in holistic nutrition, health science, biology, functional medicine, or nutritional supplement products.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of conversion-driven messaging, education-based marketing, direct-to-consumer psychology, retention levers, and conversion rate optimization principles.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with UTM tracking, attribution, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel.
  • Preferred: Experience in graphic design and hands-on experience with Figma.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email production.
  • Preferred: Project management certification or formal project management training.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work from one of the approved states listed in the posting.
