Description

  • Own revenue cycle operations across eligibility, authorizations, claims, denials, appeals, billing, and collections.
  • Develop the RCM strategy, including team hiring, KPI reporting, and operational processes.
  • Analyze claims data to identify collection gaps and improve collection rates and DSO.
  • Manage patient billing, coinsurance collection, denial management, and appeals.
  • Centralize eligibility verification, authorizations, and payer reporting.
  • Partner with payers and provider groups to resolve claims issues and manage reporting relationships.
  • Collaborate with Finance on revenue reconciliation, cash application, and collections reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements.
  • Select, implement, and optimize RCM systems for multi-program billing.
  • Build scalable, automated RCM processes and supporting tools with Operations, Product, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive Revenue Cycle Management experience with end-to-end ownership.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing, including FFS and risk-based arrangements.
  • Experience with eligibility, enrollment, charge capture, coding, claims submission, denials, and collections.
  • Experience building and leading teams in a high-growth, early-stage startup.
  • Ability to independently query and analyze claims data and use insights to improve collections.
  • Experience implementing RCM platforms such as Candid or Waystar.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Product, and Engineering.
  • Ownership mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, low-red-tape environment.
  • Passion for serving people with complex chronic needs, including homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder.
