Description

  • Own the sales compensation policy strategy, annual roadmap, and compensation terms and conditions.
  • Define and publish crediting rules for complex and non-standard deals, including renewals, overlays, specialists, splits, and pods.
  • Ensure accurate policy application throughout compensation and quota changes, system implementations, and releases.
  • Build governance processes including precedent libraries, decision logs, committee materials, and adjudication audits.
  • Run the exception process and convert recurring exceptions into policy and plan improvements.
  • Own the sales compensation hub and field-facing enablement content.
  • Promote Samsara’s cultural principles while supporting global organizational growth.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in incentive compensation, consulting, business operations, sales operations, or comparable policy and process roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university.
  • Experience owning policy, process documentation, or governance frameworks.
  • Experience with incentive compensation and ambiguous, precedent-setting decisions.
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
  • Comfort with AI and analytical tools such as Claude, Tableau, Salesforce, Google Sheets, and BigQuery.
  • Fluency in English and comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Experience operating within a governance or committee structure preferred.
  • Experience building relationships with senior sales executives preferred; Xactly experience is a plus.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $106,802.50–$143,600 USD, depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
