Description

  • Build relationships with practitioners, open-source maintainers, conference speakers, community leaders, bloggers, newsletter authors, and credible DevRel professionals.
  • Map and engage influential technical communities across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Discord, Reddit, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and specialist forums.
  • Secure endorsements, testimonials, forewords, guest posts, reviews, and other attributable expert contributions.
  • Feed community and market intelligence into book commissioning decisions.
  • Design and execute pre- and post-publication campaigns, including reviewer outreach, community activations, and targeted list building.
  • Coordinate metadata, keywords, audience messaging, and product-page conversion initiatives with Growth and commissioning teams.
  • Develop Amazon credibility programs, including expert endorsements, review outreach, and sustained post-launch visibility.
  • Build partnerships with vendors, training providers, certification bodies, conferences, universities, and bootcamps to generate bulk sales and licensing opportunities.
  • Plan webinars, AMAs, expert panels, workshops, and conference collaborations while growing owned audiences.
  • Track campaign performance, conversion, reviews, rank, sales, partnership revenue, and the quality of expert-network contributions.

Requirements

  • Fluency in a technical community and the ability to engage credibly with practitioners and engineers.
  • Experience in developer relations, community management, technical marketing, or a comparable outward-facing technical role.
  • An existing network within the relevant technical vertical is preferred.
  • Experience owning campaigns and planning, sequencing, and measuring activity against outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgment and comfort being measured on business results rather than outreach volume.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to represent Packt publicly.
  • Comfort working with Amazon performance metrics, campaign analytics, conversion data, and rank performance.
  • Ability to build and maintain expert, community, vendor, and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Ability to understand and use community intelligence to inform publishing and commissioning decisions.
