Description

  • Build durable relationships with respected cybersecurity practitioners, influencers, maintainers, speakers, bloggers, and community leaders.
  • Map relevant technical communities across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Discord, Reddit, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and specialist forums.
  • Secure expert endorsements, testimonials, forewords, guest posts, reviews, and other attributable contributions.
  • Design and execute pre- and post-publication campaigns, including reviewer outreach, community activations, and targeted list building.
  • Coordinate with Growth and commissioning teams on metadata, keywords, audience messaging, and product-page conversion.
  • Track campaign performance, review velocity, sentiment, engagement, sales, Amazon rank, and conversion.
  • Develop partnerships with vendors, training providers, certification bodies, conferences, universities, bootcamps, and training companies.
  • Identify and convert bulk purchase, licensing, and longer-term partnership opportunities.
  • Plan webinars, AMAs, expert panels, technical workshops, and conference collaborations.
  • Feed community intelligence into commissioning decisions and build systems that sustain visibility beyond launch.

Requirements

  • Fluency and credibility within a technical community, with the ability to engage practitioners in substantive conversations.
  • Experience in developer relations, community management, technical marketing, or a comparable outward-facing technical role.
  • An existing network within cybersecurity or another relevant technical vertical is strongly preferred.
  • Experience owning campaigns and planning, sequencing, and measuring activity.
  • Strong commercial judgment and comfort being measured on outcomes rather than activity.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to represent Packt publicly.
  • Comfort using data, including Amazon performance metrics, campaign analytics, conversion, and rank relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate genuine expert influence based on relevance and engagement rather than follower count.
