Description

  • Source relevant creators and publishers based on defined content briefs and priority subject areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with creators and publishers.
  • Evaluate proposed content against editorial, commercial, and catalogue requirements.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of licensed products aligned to Packt’s publishing strategy.
  • Negotiate non-exclusive licensing terms that reflect content value and distribution scope.
  • Contract a consistent flow of licensed products in line with quarterly targets.
  • Collaborate with editorial, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth handover of contracted content.
  • Participate in editorial board and title-level discussions to keep licensed and in-house content aligned.
  • Track performance against key targets, including contract volume, stakeholder engagement, and lifetime value.
  • Support licensing partnerships that strengthen Packt’s brand prestige.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in relationship management, acquisition, or commercial roles, ideally within publishing, media, or digital content.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with creators and publishers.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to assess content value using data-informed decisions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage a pipeline and work to targets.
  • A proactive, resilient self-starter who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and online collaboration tools.
  • A reliable remote working setup, including a stable internet connection suitable for large file transfers.
  • Interest in technology and project management.
  • Experience in publishing, media, or digital content is preferred.
