Description

  • Champion an automation-first quality culture and reduce reliance on manual testing.
  • Design, build, and scale automated test frameworks for APIs, UI, and end-to-end microservice validation.
  • Develop load and resilience testing suites to benchmark and harden distributed systems.
  • Integrate automated tests and quality gates into GitHub Actions for commits, pull requests, and deployments.
  • Validate Kafka event flows, Istio routing, and inter-service contracts, including message schemas, ACLs, and service dependencies.
  • Mock endpoints and simulate service responses for automated testing.
  • Lead TDD adoption by embedding test scaffolds into developer workflows and promoting coverage standards.
  • Add security testing and data validation checks to automation frameworks.
  • Build observability dashboards to expose quality metrics, performance, and error budgets.
  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, and product managers on quality across environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks for microservice and web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, or an equivalent modern language.
  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proven track record in load testing with Grafana k6 and performance analysis at scale.
  • Experience validating integrations involving Kafka, Istio, and REST/gRPC endpoints.
  • Working knowledge of Playwright or a similar browser automation framework.
  • Understanding of TDD, security testing, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Excellent debugging, observability, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and containerized CI environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract testing frameworks for validating service communication is preferred.
  • Experience with Grafana, Datadog, or similar observability platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with B2B, eCommerce, or fulfillment ecosystems is preferred.
