Description

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and deliver timely, accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and prepare financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll recording, fixed assets, and expense reporting.
  • Support the Corporate Controller in establishing and enforcing accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Coordinate the annual external audit and respond to auditor requests.
  • Assist with sales tax, property tax, and corporate income tax compliance filings.
  • Drive improvements to accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Support ERP maintenance and enhancements in collaboration with IT and finance operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and outsourced accounting partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to apply U.S. GAAP for U.S. corporations.
  • SaaS or technology-company experience with ARR-based business models (strongly preferred).
  • Experience leading international teams and knowledge of international accounting operations (preferred).
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Avalara, Paystand, Tipalti, and Tesorio (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, process-building, attention to detail, communication, and project-management skills.
  • Experience supporting high-growth companies or M&A integrations (preferred).
