Description

  • Gather and review business, functional, and technical requirements for customer identity platform implementations.
  • Work with customers to document technical and functional requirements for specific solutions.
  • Create project plans to support solution development and implementation.
  • Translate requirements into designs and provide technical leadership and oversight on customer engagements.
  • Partner with customers to build trusted relationships and align solutions to their business goals.
  • Support customer health checks and project reviews throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Advise on identity architecture decisions across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Collaborate with the professional services delivery team to drive implementation outcomes and business value.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall IT or software development experience, including solution design and technical architecture.
  • 3+ years of consulting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience driving application architecture design.
  • 3+ years of experience with IAM architectures.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing cloud computing solutions such as AWS, Google Apps, or Salesforce.
  • Experience with customer identity use cases for B2C and B2B, including registration, multifactor authentication, SSO, delegated administration, and social identities.
  • Experience leading discovery workshops to derive customer requirements, specifications, and business processes.
  • Experience developing functional specifications and system design specifications for customer engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture, design and operations, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, and web protocols including XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Java, .Net, JavaScript, Angular, or React.
  • Experience integrating with a wide range of on-premises and SaaS products.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Ability to work with CxOs and senior customer executives.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: familiarity with IAM solution providers.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed systems, application architecture, application design, and software development.
  • Preferred: Okta expertise, experience, or certifications.
  • Preferred: knowledge of software development security and cryptography.
  • Preferred: experience with API gateways, CASB, and reverse proxies such as NGINX.
  • Preferred: knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, EC2, Xen, KVM, and OpenStack.
  • Preferred: proficiency in one or more of .Net, Ruby, Java, Python, or Perl.
  • Preferred: proficiency with git and Subversion.
  • Preferred: Okta Certified Technical Architect, or a combination of Okta Certified Consultant and Okta Certified Developer.
  • Preferred: TOGAF and/or CISSP certification.

Benefits

  • Annual On Target Compensation of $224,000 to $308,000 USD for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Annual On Target Compensation of $200,000 to $275,000 USD for candidates located in California outside the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
