Description

  • Build and manage technical relationships with assigned partners and collaborate with the Okta Partner Account Team.
  • Drive incremental revenue through Okta solution sales with strategic partners and their go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop domain expertise and thought leadership in partners’ current focus areas and expansion opportunities.
  • Gather, track, and translate partner feedback to inform the Okta product roadmap.
  • Deliver technical training sessions for partners, including demos, best practices, and competitive differentiators.
  • Respond to technical questions and requests for information from partners.
  • Maintain technical expertise in current and emerging Okta products and technologies.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance during the partner sales process to support mutual success.
  • Support partner, Okta, and industry events with up to 25% travel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience.
  • Experience implementing Okta Workforce Identity or Customer Identity.
  • Understanding of the IAM / IDaaS competitive landscape.
  • Strong passion for partners and knowledge of channel business models.
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with at least one standard network security protocol such as OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, or OIDC.
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: web development (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks), mobile development (iOS, Android), backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby), or IP-based real-time communications.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud computing environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Confidence presenting knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferred.
  • In-person onboarding and travel to the San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment is required.

  • Annual on-target compensation range of $152,000 to $228,000 USD for candidates in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
