Description

  • Serve as the primary client contact and provide strategic counsel on medical affairs and publication planning, timelines, and best practices.
  • Lead medical affairs projects such as advisory boards and slide decks from planning through submission.
  • Lead publication projects including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress presentations from planning through submission.
  • Partner with scientific, editorial, and project management teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all materials.
  • Lead internal teams to maintain smooth workflow, clear communication, and high-quality output across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Oversee project financials, including budget management, statement of work development, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and contribute to new business initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–6 years of experience in a medical communications agency with significant exposure to medical affairs and publication planning and delivery.
  • Strong project management and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and statement of work development.
  • Proven ability to manage complex publication programs and collaborate with authors, clients, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Datavision and Veeva is a plus.
  • Experience working across therapy areas is preferred.
  • Strong scientific understanding and experience in scientific storytelling are preferred.
