Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Patient Access Case Managers through one-on-ones, performance coaching, and professional development.
  • Oversee daily Patient Access operations to meet KPIs, service levels, and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal teams, offshore support partners, reimbursement vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Field Sales, Appeals, Patient Concierge, Therapy Support, and cross-functional teams to resolve reimbursement issues and provide case updates.
  • Ensure adherence to reimbursement workflows, quality standards, and SOPs.
  • Develop, implement, and refine KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Review workflows and SOPs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and the patient experience.
  • Provide guidance on benefit investigations, prior authorizations, claims processing, appeals, financial assistance, and insurance coverage questions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain clinical documentation needed for reimbursement submissions.
  • Coordinate with commercial and government payers to support timely authorization and reimbursement decisions.
  • Monitor case quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance in Salesforce and reimbursement systems.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including Salesforce enhancements and workflow optimization.
  • Partner with leadership on strategic reimbursement and operational initiatives.
  • Develop training materials, onboarding resources, and coaching programs.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-focused culture centered on accountability and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or reimbursement-focused organizations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting medical device reimbursement involving DME products.
  • Experience leading or supervising patient access, reimbursement, or case management teams.
  • Strong knowledge of benefit investigations, prior authorizations, insurance reimbursement, appeals, and patient access workflows.
  • Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and government payers.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and reimbursement management platforms preferred.
  • Experience leading patient access or reimbursement teams within the medical device industry preferred.
  • Experience implementing KPI-driven performance management programs preferred.
  • Experience driving operational process improvements and workflow optimization preferred.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce enhancements or system implementations preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore support teams and third-party reimbursement vendors preferred.
  • Knowledge of DME reimbursement policies and payer landscape preferred.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $90,000–$110,000 per year.
  • Annual bonus eligibility.
  • Full-time position.
