Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and end users in assigned agencies and departments.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan and geographic territory strategy with input from the Director of Sales.
  • Manage a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Identify customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events to cultivate sales opportunities.
  • Gather and communicate market, customer, and competitive intelligence to the company.
  • Prepare price quotations, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support inside sales with quote generation, data entry, and funding opportunity identification.
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and interests.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, and submit expense reports on time.
  • Collaborate with customer professionals on product development, improvements, modifications, or changes.
  • Develop marketing strategies to generate new sales leads within the existing region.
  • Coordinate the customer sales process across internal teams, vendors, and business partners.

Requirements

  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Ability to complete work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • NetSuite or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
