Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and partners across assigned regions and new markets as needed.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan and geographic territory strategy with input from the Senior Director of DoD Sales.
  • Manage a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders, and report progress regularly.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to client locations, symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to cultivate opportunities.
  • Provide price quotations, product specifications, demonstrations, and guidance on contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders and support sales operations.
  • Assist with inside sales data entry, quote generation, and identification of funding opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, file expense reports, and keep a Google calendar of customer visits and travel.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in place of a degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in internet searching.
  • NetSuite or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
