Description

  • Serve as the front line of customer interaction for Veracyte’s genomic diagnostic products.
  • Identify and close new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Reinforce the clinical value of Afirma plus Xpression Atlas with new and existing customers.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clinicians, medical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Navigate complex health systems to support product adoption and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Establish repeatable account-level protocols for sample collection, ordering, logistics, and patient selection.
  • Analyze territory data and develop strategic plans to execute daily and exceed territory goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teammates to grow business across the testing portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Travel regularly by air or car, including overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in medical diagnostics, medical device, or biopharmaceutical sales.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Science-based degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience calling on complex health systems, IDNs, and academic institutions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate a complicated sales cycle and generate new genomic test volume.
  • Experience selling clinically in person or virtually in office or hospital environments.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts and products in a large geography.
  • Ideally has sold in or functioned within a procedure environment.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, business acumen, and collaborative teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and complete overnight travel.

  • Base salary range of $130,000 to $142,000 USD.
