Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand the company’s footprint within the PAE AS&A community.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities and contract bids.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government, military, vendor, and customer stakeholders.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Lead proposal development in collaboration with internal teams to ensure submissions are compelling and compliant.
  • Maintain a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Travel to customer sites, symposiums, conferences, tradeshows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to cultivate opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and gather competitive, customer, and market intelligence to inform strategy.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on business development activity and market trends.
  • Support the full customer sales process, including calls, emails, quotations, order entry, and administrative reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field required.
  • Master’s degree highly desirable.
  • 5-10 years of experience in defense sales and business development with a successful track record of winning DOD contracts.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Demonstrated experience with DOD procurement and contracting processes.
  • Proven ability to work with and influence senior business and government leaders.
  • Strong communication skills and skillful negotiation ability.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines and follow company procedures while meeting customer needs.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous military experience highly desired.
  • Experience with contracting vehicles such as GSA, ECAT, EMALL, and Prime Vendor schedules.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Oracle ERP, Epicor, Salesforce, Slack, Concur, and ADP.
